When the 90s punk/indie (but definitely not Fraggle) band, Senseless Things, announced that they were reforming to do a one-off gig in March 2017 it made a lot of old Pop Kids very happy. Very, very happy. We were so happy we forgot we weren't eighteen anymore. Then we had an idea.
Many fans were also in bands or played music for fun. So we thought, what if everyone covered their favourite Senseless Things track? What if we put all those tracks together to make an album? What if we sold the album and gave all the proceeds to charity? That sounded like a good idea. So we did it!
Punk, not Fraggle, is a Senseless Things fan tribute album, incorporating many different styles of music from punk to ukuleles! All songs were generously donated by the artists and the proceeds were donated to Teenage Cancer Trust.
As a mark of respect and gratitude for all the songs Mark gave us we have decided to re-release "Punk, not Fraggle" as a free download. The album now includes two bonus tracks by Nat The Hammer and Obi Denim.
We aren't asking for donations this time around but if you can spare a few quid please visit Mark's funeral page where you can make a donation to Centrepoint in Mark's name.
RIP Mark. God bless x
